Simulation in Practice

Amsterdam, The Netherlands, November 23th 2018

Symposium Aims

As a yearly tradition, the DBSS was happy to organize the 2018 DBSS Symposium: Simulation in Practice. In this occasion, the event took place at the end of November and was hosted by the Amsterdam School of International Business (AMSIB). Several speakers gave talks about different simulation applications to real world issues, covering different areas such as: logistics within the supply chain (Abdel El Makhloufi), cargo management within airports (Rodrigo Romero), air traffic applications (Mihaela Mitici), ecoystem modeling (Alex Ziembla), data and methods for simulation (Niki Popper) and product design (Eduardo Pacheco).

A special session was reserved for PhD students that presented their works about the use of simulation techniques.

We were pleased with the presence of many students, academics and industries represantitves, and practitioners who gave their precious contributions by discussing, sharing ideas and views about simulation techniques.

As a registered member of the DBSS you can request access to the presentations of the DBSS 2018 Symposium (guest speakers and young researchers). The membership includes a discount in all DBSS and EUROSIM congresses and workshops as well as a special discount for courses offered by the DBSS.
